TripCost Fuel Calculator ("TripCost") is provided by Maksym Buradchuk, also publishing under the MaxSaur name. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app, how that information is used, and what choices you have.
Information We Process
TripCost Fuel Calculator may process the following categories of information:
- Location data, when you grant permission, to measure distance during a live trip and support trip-related calculations.
- Device and diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system version, app configuration, timestamps, and error logs, when needed to troubleshoot crashes or improve app stability.
- Advertising or analytics-related data that may be collected by third-party services used in the app.
- App usage and interaction events, such as app opens, screen views, calculator results, settings changes, live trip start, pause, resume, stop, and live trip start failures. These events may include non-precise trip metrics such as elapsed time, distance, and passenger count.
Location Data
TripCost can use your device location to calculate the distance traveled during a live trip. Location access is optional, but some trip tracking features will not work without it.
The app is intended to use location while you actively use live trip tracking. It is not designed as a continuous background location tracking service.
Trip data and related calculations are primarily stored on your device. We do not sell your location data.
We do not send raw GPS coordinates as custom analytics events. Live trip analytics events may include derived trip metrics, such as trip distance and elapsed time, to help us understand and improve the live tracking feature.
How We Use Information
Information processed by the app may be used to:
- provide fuel, distance, and trip-related calculations;
- support live GPS trip tracking features;
- maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the app;
- understand how users interact with app features, such as calculators, settings, and live trip tracking;
- serve ads or measure ad performance through third-party providers.
Analytics
TripCost uses Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and improve the app. Analytics may collect information such as app opens, screen views, device information, app version, approximate timestamps, and interaction events.
The app may log custom analytics events for calculator usage, clearing calculator results, saving fuel consumption, changing settings, and using live trip controls. These events are used to improve the app and are not used to identify you personally.

Information created by your use of the app is generally stored on your device unless a third-party provider processes it as described above. Retention periods for third-party data are governed by the respective provider's policies.
